Ronaldo Called Simon Jordan an ‘Apple’, Says Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan says Cristiano Ronaldo responded to criticism from Simon Jordan by telling the talkSPORT pundit to stop using Botox because he looked like an apple.

Morgan revealed the alleged message on Football Uncensored after clashing with Jordan over Ronaldo’s departure from Portugal’s training camp.

He said he had sent Ronaldo a clip of their discussion and received this reply: “That blond guy. Tell him to stop with the Botox. He looks like an apple.”

The message was sent to Morgan about Jordan, according to the broadcaster.

Morgan then added his own description of Jordan as a “suspiciously smooth-faced apple” while discussing the exchange on his programme.

Their earlier argument centred on Ronaldo’s dispute with Portugal manager Jorge Jesus. Jordan questioned whether Ronaldo’s behaviour could be a common factor in his fallouts, while Morgan defended the forward’s decision to speak out.

Ronaldo had released a statement accusing Jesus of twice breaking his word, including over his playing time against Norway and a subsequent agreement to explain the situation publicly.

The Portugal captain also apologised for leaving the camp and said he would accept punishment for his conduct.

Despite the disagreement, Ronaldo said he remained available to represent Portugal after serving any suspension imposed on him.
