Liam Gallagher Says Mystery Source Told Him Man City Will Only Get Fine and Transfer Ban

Liam Gallagher claims someone occupying a “very very high position” has already told him how Manchester City will be punished if their expected appeal fails.

The Oasis singer and prominent City supporter made the declaration on X following reports that an independent commission had found the club guilty of 114 of the Premier League’s 115 financial charges.

Gallagher wrote: “Just been told by someone in a very very high position… we’ll be getting a fine and transfer ban and that’s it.”

He also insisted City would not lose their appeal before telling people anticipating heavier consequences to stop worrying about relegation, points deductions or anything else under consideration.

Gallagher did not identify his source, explain what position they held or provide evidence that the punishment had already been determined.

Sanctions remained undecided when the guilty findings were reported, with City expected to appeal and the confidential process still ongoing.

That has not prevented Gallagher from receiving what he presented as an advance copy of the ending.

When another user asked whether he was permitted to reveal the information, Gallagher replied: “Just said it keep up.”

The Premier League spent years investigating City before an independent commission reportedly considered 115 separate charges. Gallagher required one weekend and a conversation with an unnamed important person to establish the eventual punishment.

His prediction may prove accurate, although it currently remains an unsupported social-media claim from a musician who would strongly prefer Manchester City not to be relegated.

English football must continue waiting for the official sanctions.

Liam Gallagher has apparently already been told.
