Jamie Vardy has secured a position within the Bundesliga’s UK broadcasting schedule while his position within an actual football team remains undecided.
The former Leicester City striker will lead coverage of seven live Bundesliga matches on the YouTube channel Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party, beginning with Friday night’s season opener between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart.
The agreement allows viewers in the UK and Ireland to watch seven selected Friday-night fixtures throughout the 2026/27 season, with Vardy and various guests providing reaction, discussion and insight.
It represents a significant development for a YouTube channel launched only in June. The platform is owned and produced by Banijay Entertainment, with its Workerbee production label securing the agreement with Bundesliga Media and producing the live programmes.
Vardy has therefore not personally purchased several German football matches while waiting at home for his agent to call.
He will, however, become one of the recognisable faces through which British viewers can legally watch Harry Kane, Bayern Munich and the rest of Germany’s leading division.
The 39-year-old remains without a club after leaving Cremonese when his contract expired. Vardy scored seven Serie A goals during his season in Italy but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation.
He has not announced his retirement and continues to be linked with another playing move. Until that happens, his YouTube channel has acquired seven confirmed fixtures before its host has acquired one.
The arrangement forms part of the Bundesliga’s increasingly creator-led approach to broadcasting in Britain. Mark Goldbridge’s That’s Football has renewed its own agreement and will show 15 Friday-night matches during the season.
German football will consequently be available through a broadcasting line-up featuring established television platforms, one of England’s most distinctive former strikers and the presenter of That’s Football.
Vardy’s career has already progressed from non-league football to winning the Premier League and representing England. Becoming a licensed Bundesliga broadcaster is another development which was not included in the conventional pathway.
Jamie Vardy’s next club remains unconfirmed.
His next fixture is Bayern Munich against Stuttgart.
